Now that you have all received your new motor logbooks and they are safely in your drivers vehicles, I thought it was a good opportunity to explain exactly what you need to do next once an accident has occurred and your driver has filled in their log book. It may seem like this is replacing the original accident form you fill out normally when there has been an accident but its not.

The purpose of these motor logbooks is to make sure in a vehicle accident that all relevant information for our insurance company is taken, its very easy to forget what information needs to be taken and what photos are required when you are in a highly stressful situation. The motor logbooks are designed for that reason - purely to capture all of the relevant information.

There are two motor accident forms in each log book, so that in the event of an accident the four pages can be ripped out and there is still another form left in the logbook. These four pages should be ripped out of the logbook and handed to you from your driver. This is the information you will need to use to fill out the motor accident claim form.

The motor accident claims form is the same one you have been using when logging your accidents. You can use all of the information captured by your driver from their logbook form to fill in the motor accident claim form. Once all of the information has been filled out and you have all of the relevant photos and any additional notes you can email it all to operations@minorfern.com

Please remember in the event of an accident your drivers wellbeing is our top priority - making sure they are ok is absolutely essential. The claim form must be sent to us on the day of the accident.

Once you have emailed your motor accident claims form along with any additional notes and photos you can then pop the drivers filled in logbook pages into your confidential waste bins.

If you have any questions or queries regarding the new motor logbooks or logging of accidents please contact Cas and Ben via the operations email address.
